Commercial Dog Waste Removal
Sgt. Poopers provides dog waste removal for commercial buildings throughout the city including high-end apartment communities, condominiums, and town house properties where we remove dog waste from common areas and dog parks, maintain dog waste stations, disinfect to control the transmission of disease, and deodorize both inside and outside wherever dogs habitually urinate.
Large properties such as apartment complexes are inspected and our rates are based on acreage and amount of waste on the premises. We service apartment buildings, condos, town homes, HOAs, neighborhoods, commercial buildings, veterinary offices, pet stores, and more.
We will clean any designated common areas on the same days each week, Monday – Friday. We generally work through or around the weather and most holidays. The common areas will be professionally cleaned, waste bagged, tied securely, and disposed of.
Though we can visit locations outside our service area, our primary focus is Dallas, Highland Park, University Park, Richardson, Addison, Farmers Branch, and portions of Carrollton, Plano, Garland, Mesquite, Irving, Oak Cliff.

Commercial Dog Waste Disinfection
Sgt. Poopers provides commercial dog waste disinfection to reset the pathogen count to near zero in contaminated areas. We use a cutting-edge, food-grade, EPA-approved and NSF-certified hospital disinfectant to break the chain of infection at the molecular level. Non-toxic to humans, pets, and plants, it reacts with molecules in the amino-acid proteins that form the membrane of bacteria and viruses. This reaction causes 99.999% of harmful microbes to rupture (oxidize) and die in seconds including Covid-19 and superbugs.
When Ebola struck Dallas in 2014, this is what hazmat workers used to successfully decontaminate infected spaces. It is an EPA-registered antimicrobial that meets CDC criteria for use against lethal pathogens, yet this same disinfectant is so safe you can wash your hands with it. It is hypoallergenic, non-toxic, non-flammable, non-hazardous, non-reactive, non-corrosive, non-fuming, and non-staining. It is NSF certified as "No Rinse Required" on food preparation surfaces. Respirators or rubber gloves are not required for application. It is simply one of the best, safest and most effective disinfectants there is. We're proud of it especially because it works.
Commercial Dog Waste Deodorizing
We can neutralize the smell of solid dog waste and dog urine at your commercial property. We use a special sprayer and powerful hospital-grade deodorizer to treat each area where dogs urinate or deposit waste.
Foul lingering odors are caused by bacteria. These bacteria can live for weeks and even months on the ground — their natural habitat. What's more, these bacteria easily hitch a ride on shoes right into clean floors indoors.
Urine from dogs, cats and wildlife can create especially nasty odors in commercial properties. One dog can produce an awful lot of urine each day. Urine tends to peel paint and rust metal. On concrete or stone it leaves a yellowish stain. We look for these areas plus all the usual places where dogs like to urinate, and spray each location with our deodorizer to effectively kill the odor-causing bacteria. We treat chair, table, and bench legs, the bases of trees, light poles, gates, fence posts, water hydrants, trash cans, dog waste stations, and bushes. We also treat each place that smells like dog urine — easy to smell when you are right over it — on patios, sidewalks, artificial turf, grass, crushed granite, and dirt beds.
Dog urine creates brown spots in grass and we have another product that regrows the grass starting in as little as one week!
Commercial Property Grass Spot Recovery
Side-by-side comparison showing restoration of brown spots caused by dog urine after just six weeks of treatment.
Dog urine (and feces) can kill sections of grass leaving brown spots in the grass. These dead areas, called “lawn burn,” are caused by an excess of nitrogen and ammonia salts, specifically “ammonium nitrate” which is a common ingredient in fertilizer, a salt of ammonia.
Our all-natural, made-in-the-USA, soil amendment is safe for your lawn, children, and pets. It provides non-pathogenic nitrogen-consuming bacteria to the soil, plus humates and a wetting agent that reduces water surface tension holding salts. It allows the grass to re-grow in the damaged areas without reseeding. In many cases we see striking improvement in just one week! Our multiple-action formula,
- consumes ammonia from dog urine
- binds the salts from the urine
- increases soil permeability so salts can be washed out
- works in all tested geographies, Dallas area soil types
- works with all grass species
- enables grass recovery
Dog Waste Facts for Commercial Properties
Dog waste is just as unsanitary as human waste.
A common misconception is that dog waste is fertilizer. Fertilizer comes only from grazing animals like cows that don’t eat meat. Their manure is healthy for grass because it is grass. Dogs are meat eaters. One gram of dog poop contains more than 20 million microbes—“parasites, bacteria, germs, pathogens and viruses harmful to humans” (per EPA). You can become ill eating fruits or vegetables “fertilized” by dog poop, which explains why it has zero commercial value as a fertilizer while cow manure sells for as much as 79¢ a pound.
Fecal organisms from dog waste survive for months and longer on the ground. Toxocaris (roundworm) eggs remain viable for up to 3 years. A recent study found that walking through poop-contaminated yards put some 421,000 harmful bacteria on shoes. Worse, up to 99% of those bacteria transferred easily to tiles and carpet inside homes. (Ref: Department of Soil, Water & Environmental Science at the University of Arizona, April 2008)
If that’s not bad enough, rain and sprinkler systems wash germs directly into lakes and rivers—the source of drinking water. That’s why with 1.2 million dogs in north Texas, dog waste is a leading cause of groundwater pollution—the daily equivalent of an entire city’s sewage—untreated and unchecked—unless someone picks it up! (North Texas dogs produce 900,000 lbs of solid waste per day much of which is washed into our waterways including White Rock Lake, Turtle Creek and the Trinity River.)
Diseases that can be spread from dog poop to humans just by walking through contaminated grass include dysentery, cholera, hepatitis, typhoid, tuberculosis, ear infections, blindness, roundworm, tapeworm, hookworm, Giardiasis, Salmonellosis, Toxocarosis, Campylobacteriosis, Gastroenteritis, Cryptosporidiosis & Cysticerosis. Dog poop also breeds flies that, in turn, spread other diseases. One house fly can easily carry more than a million bacteria on its body. Ref: USA Center for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov
Commercial Dog Waste Removal Prices
Our pricing for commercial properties is based on the size of the property, services, volume of waste needing to be removed, plus the frequency of our visits. The more frequently we clean, the less we can charge for each visit. Most commercial properties have us out two or three times per week. If you want us to come less frequently, or more frequently (every day), we can do that, too. Estimates are free and often we are able to provide a quote the same day we are called. We service apartment buildings, condos, town homes, HOAs, neighborhoods, commercial buildings, business parks, kennels, veterinary offices, pet stores, and more!
