Forensic Waste Removal Introduction

Sgt. Poopers provides forensic detection of invisible biological residues from urine or solid waste whether from pets or wildlife. We can also help by getting rid of the residues exposed by our forensic search. This is how to finally get rid of invisible germs and odors!

Sgt. Poopers® Chartered Conservationist badgeIt's the same technology used by crime scene investigators (CSI) which we've seen dramatized on television. So if your porch, balcony, deck, garage, or a room inside your home is a pet waste crime scene, we can help by revealing the invisible evidence and eliminating it.

1. Our CSI tools include ultraviolet forensic-light detection to reveal evidence not visible to the naked eye since biological residues contain molecules that glow brightly under UV light.

2. Our non-toxic EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectant penetrates biofilm to eliminate the most resistant bacteria, including even antibiotic-resistant bacteria like Covid-19,  MRSA, H1N1, Ebola and more.

3. Our odor eliminator neutralizes the source of odor at a molecular level. This miraculous chemistry works in a new way and contains no scent, perfume, nor fragrance because it leaves nothing to mask.

An appointment with us is easy-to-do, just call and we'll come right out and take care of the problem.

Forensic Detection with Ultraviolet Light

Image of cat urine residue on carpet with and without ultraviolet

Cat urine residue in office carpet—a strong source of odor invisible to the eye—is plainly revealed under ultraviolet light.

Forensic ultraviolet detection is the answer when you suspect the floor or walls of your garage, patio or deck have become soiled by a pets or wild animals. Our investigation has to be done with the lights off, or in the evening when it is darker. We use a special high-intensity ultraviolet light to check for biological residues. Certain molecules fluoresce when excited by ultraviolet radiation.

Invisible residue from cat or dog urine becomes a source of odor that is impossible to see in normal light. But under UV, the stain and source of odor is instantly revealed. If you dog or cat has urinated on rug, you will surely need to wash the rug. If they urinated on deep shag carpeting as in the photo above, you may have to replace the carpet entirely. You can certainly try a professional carpet cleaner to deep clean the fibers but sometimes that doesn't work. Shag carpeting can be particularly difficult if the urine soaked down into the mat at the base of the carpet since the carpet pile blocks access to the mat.

What we can do is show you where the residues are. Those areas can be marked with chalk, CSI style, so you know exactly where to clean!

Forensic Detection of Wildlife Feces and Urine

We've cleaned up hundreds of messes from wild animals, including rats, possums, birds, tortoises, and more.

Sgt. Poopers® Conservation ArrowheadWild animals are no respecters of social class. They can and do invade the patios, garages, and outdoor decks of dollar homes throughout Dallas, particularly near sources of water like creeks and ponds. It's best to assume any feces or urine you find are toxic. For example, raccoon feces can contain roundworm eggs that are so tiny they can become airborne and inhaled when disturbed. Within a week, the larvae hatch and migrate into parts of the body which can include the brain. Left untreated, the damage can even be fatal. Therefore it's important to to use professional respirators during the cleaning process. After the waste is removed, disinfection is mandatory in order to kill the millions of remaining germs.

Many wild animals also mark their territory. For example rats dribble urine everywhere they go as a means of communication. Rat urine tells other rats "this area is safe." So it's vital to detect the full extent of the problem, and clean it all up.

Traditional pest companies have difficulty controlling these pests, because they lack the right tools, know-how and resources. Our entire business model is built on visiting the same homes weekly or even daily which enables us to do things for people that other companies simply can't do. The waste they leave behind is a health threat. Ultraviolet light detection reveals exactly where the problem areas are.

Forensic Disinfection of Germs

Waste residues are a problematic source of bacteria because you can't see them. An invisible area on the floor or even a toilet can harbor colonies containing millions of germs. Our UV light forensic detection shows us where problem areas lie. We can then kill the germs using our hospital-grade, EPA-approved disinfectant.

Sgt. Poopers uses a cutting-edge, food-grade, EPA-approved and NSF-certified hospital disinfectant to break the chain of infection at the molecular level. Non-toxic to humans, pets, and plants, it reacts with molecules in the amino-acid proteins that form the membrane of bacteria and viruses. This reaction causes 99.999% of harmful microbes to epa logo horizontalrupture (oxidize) and die in seconds including Covid-19 and superbugs.

nsf markWhen Ebola struck Dallas in 2014, this is what hazmat workers used to successfully decontaminate infected spaces. It is an EPA-registered antimicrobial that meets CDC criteria for use against lethal pathogens, yet this same disinfectant is so safe you can wash your hands with it. It is hypoallergenic, non-toxic, non-flammable, non-hazardous, non-reactive, non-corrosive, non-fuming, and non-staining. It is NSF certified as "No Rinse Required" on food preparation surfaces. Respirators or rubber gloves are not requiredcdc logo for application. It is simply one of the best, safest and most effective disinfectants there is. We're proud of it especially because it works.

Forensic Neutralization of Odors

Sgt. Poopers® Disinfection and Deodorizing buttonCertain odors are perceived as offensive since the human body correctly recognizes them as a warning against potential disease. The smell of toxic waste triggers a revulsion response because it indicates a risk to your health. Our antimicrobial deodorizer destroys the cause of malodor by oxidizing the microscopic organisms that cause it.

Our chemistry is also hypoallergenic, non-hazardous, non-irritating, and contains no volatile compounds (VOCs) to pollute the air. It causes no allergic or asthmatic reactions so is safe for the most sensitive allergy suffers.
